Details on fall festivals, pumpkin walks, and all the spooky events SLC has to offer

Halloween is in the air, and we couldn’t be happier about it! We’ve already covered the best options for pumpkin patches in the city, but there’s more fun to be had this year! Below, you’ll find the best Halloween events and activities for you to make the most of spooky season.

🎃 One-Off Halloween Events in SLC

  • Foothill Village Fall Festival

    • Saturday, October 11, 1:00PM - 4:00PM, Foothill Village Shopping Center, free

    • Pumpkins, live DJ, bounce houses, face painting and more

  • Giant Pumpkin Palooza & Zombie Walk

    • Saturday, October 11, 2:00PM, The Gateway, free

    • Giant pumpkin contest, costume parade, trick-or-treating, live entertainment, food trucks, and more

  • Fall Festival & Pumpkin Walk

    • Saturday, October 11, 4:00PM - 7:00PM, Ogden Botanical Gardens, free

    • Trick-or-treating, pumpkin walk, straw maze, dance party, scavenger hunt, and more

  • Pumpkin Carving

    • Monday, October 20, 5:00PM - 8:00PM, Thieves Guild, free to attend, carvings are considered donation or you can pay $5 to take your pumpkin home

  • Trolley Square Fall Festival

    • Saturday, October 25, 12:00PM - 3:00PM, Trolley Square, free to attend, $2 to drop a pumpkin from the tower (pumpkin not included)

  • The Vampire Ball

    • Saturday, October 25, 7:30PM - 10:00PM, Library’s Viridian Event Center in West Jordan, free

    • Embrace your inner vampire at this free Halloween dance just for adults

  • Utah Pride Center’s HalloQueen Ball

    • Friday, October 31, 8:00PM - 1:00AM, Salt Lake Masonic Temple, $30

    • Two live DJ sets, dance floor, costume contest with at $2,500 grand prize, food trucks, full cash bar

🦇 Repeating Halloween Events in SLC

  • Halloween ZipTour 2025

    • October 17, 18, 24, and 25; $80; Sundance Resort

    • Fly up to 65 mph on the zip line through the night sky after the Halloween Lift Ride—complete with Halloween treats!

  • Boo Lights

    • Weekends in October, $20, Hogle Zoo

    • Each October, the zoo lights up with Halloween-themed interactive programs and shows. Wear a costume and learn about some of the zoo’s nocturnal animals!

    • Get tickets now for BrewLights on October 15. Tickets are $25, drinks will be available for $10, and the whole event is 21+.

  • Garden After Dark: Trouble in Oz

    • October 16-30, 6:00PM - 9:00PM (last entry at 8:00PM), Red Butte Garden, $23

    • Walk down the yellow brick road (in costume, of course) admiring the garden in the fall time

  • Ghost Tours

    • Cemetery Tours: Saturdays in October, $25

    • Whiskey Street Ghost Walk: Fridays and Saturdays in October, $25 

🧟 Haunted Houses in SLC

  • The Fear Factory, Salt Lake City

    • $30-$42 depending on date

    • A huge haunted house located in an old cement factory, full of haunting twists and turns!

  • Nightmare on 13th, Salt Lake City

    • Multiple attractions, tickets range from $25 to $45 

    • Known for its engaging, technical scares and themed rooms

  • The Haunted Forest, American Fork

    • $35 on weekdays, $40 on weekends

    • Nothing scarier than wandering a real forest full of scary surprises!

  • Strangling Brothers Haunted Circus, American Fork

    • $32 on weekdays, $37 on weekends

    • No Freak Tuesdays, $20

    • Make your way past demonic clowns in this haunted circus

  • Asylum 49, Tooele

    • $30, $5 extra for light contact or $7 extra for full contact

    • An asylum-themed hospital attraction with multiple levels of contact

  • Frightmares, Lagoon, Farmington

    • $110 theme park ticket includes entrance to multiple haunted houses varying from cute and spooky to very terrifying!
