Oktoberfest is officially underway at Snowbird!

The festival runs 12:00PM - 6:00PM on Saturdays, Sundays, and on Labor Day from August 9 through October 12. Admissions is free, but you’ll have to pay for parking.

You’ll find:

  • Live music

  • Yodeling and alphorns

  • Live art installations

  • Der Marktplatz with over 40 local vendors

  • Bratwurst and sauerkraut, Über Pretzels, and more

  • And of course - more than 50 varieties of beer!

đŸ» Oktoberfest Tips & Tricks

  • Be sure to have the map handy, and check out the events calendar so you don’t miss the alphorns!

  • There’s a new shuttle service this year! Check out the details and make your free reservation here.

  • If you’ve been to Oktoberfest before, you can bring your mug from a past year and get the refill price. They’ll honor your souvenir mug from any year (all the way back to 1972!), so always keep your eye out for Snowbird Oktoberfest glasses at thrift stores!

  • Beyond the many food tents and Oktoberfest Halle, you can also eat at Snowbird’s restaurants - including The Summit if you’re willing to ride the Scenic Tram.

  • Oktoberfest parking costs $15 per-car ($30 for valet). There’s free parking along the highway on a first-come, first-served basis. You can find parking details here. If you’re going with friends, you’ll want to carpool!

  • There’s a new bag policy this year. Bags over 6” x 9” must be clear. Bags will be checked - no outside food and beverage, including alcohol.

  • If you’re interested in Scenic Tram rides or Summer Activities (the mountain coaster is so much fun!), consider buying those tickets online to save time.

  • Check out the beer tents on the Skier’s Bridge and Dick Bass Terrace - they’re usually a bit less crowded.

  • Grand Oktoberfest from August 30 - September 1 features a parade of musicians and dancers along with a ceremonial keg tapping.
