Salt Lake City's Free Meals & Food Drives

Your guide to finding a free meal or helping to feed your neighbors!

With no SNAP benefits in November, it's time to rely on our communities. We've gathered some options here in SLC for free meals or ways to help your neighbors.

Free Meals

If you or someone you know needs a meal, these local restaurants have free offerings, no questions asked!

Food Drives & Other Ways To Give

If you have the means to help your community, consider these options:

  • Our favorite indie bookstores (including Under the Umbrella, The Legendarium, The King’s English, Lovebound Library and more) are donating 10% of sales to the Utah Food Bank

  • Nonperishable food items dropped off at Fice Gallery or Wicked West Nails will be donated to the Utah Food Bank and will earn you raffle tickets to win prizes

  • 1974 Bookstore has a food drop off bin, and you’ll get $2 off your purchase with a donation

  • Publik (downtown location) has a donation bin benefitting the Utah Food Bank

  • Cluck Truck is accepting nonperishable food donations

  • Beer Bar and Bar X will you give you a free side of fries with any food drop off

  • Pay it forward at Sweet Hazel & Co and buy a meal for someone who need it

  • Pay it forward at Girls Who Smash

  • The Sugar House Coffee community fund is pay it forward, so add funds if you can! They also have a donation shelf where you can leave nonperishable foods and hygiene items

  • Food Drive: Thursday, November 6, 4:00PM - 7:00PM, Neighborhood House

Let us know if we’ve missed anything. Take care of each other!
