Your guide to finding a free meal or helping to feed your neighbors!

With no SNAP benefits in November, it's time to rely on our communities. We've gathered some options here in SLC for free meals or ways to help your neighbors.
Free Meals
If you or someone you know needs a meal, these local restaurants have free offerings, no questions asked!
Mumbai House: free food for your family
Sugar House Coffee: access to a community-funded gift card
Girls Who Smash: free loaded fries and water
Cluck Truck: free hot meal
Bhansa Ghar: free meal
14 Peaks: free meal
Sweet Hazel & Co: community-funded free meals
Mark Miller Subaru: free boxed lunch
Shared Plate Project: free meals from local food businesses
Doki Doki: free dessert
Food Drives & Other Ways To Give
If you have the means to help your community, consider these options:
Our favorite indie bookstores (including Under the Umbrella, The Legendarium, The King’s English, Lovebound Library and more) are donating 10% of sales to the Utah Food Bank
Nonperishable food items dropped off at Fice Gallery or Wicked West Nails will be donated to the Utah Food Bank and will earn you raffle tickets to win prizes
1974 Bookstore has a food drop off bin, and you’ll get $2 off your purchase with a donation
Publik (downtown location) has a donation bin benefitting the Utah Food Bank
Cluck Truck is accepting nonperishable food donations
Beer Bar and Bar X will you give you a free side of fries with any food drop off
Pay it forward at Sweet Hazel & Co and buy a meal for someone who need it
Pay it forward at Girls Who Smash
The Sugar House Coffee community fund is pay it forward, so add funds if you can! They also have a donation shelf where you can leave nonperishable foods and hygiene items
